Some time back I have posted a few slokas from Sri Durga Saptashati which can destroy the MAHAMARI.
I also have posted references from Atharva Veda which gives verses to ward off the micro organisms and the diseases caused by these micro organisms ( KRIMI NASHAKA & KRIMI ROGA NASHAKA)
A Vedic scholar has opined on the social media that chanting of these Veda Mantras are of no use unless the micro organisms are burnt by vedic kriye called “AGNI HOTRA”. I profusely thank and salute him for the information and request him to help the living beings across the world to take up such AGNIHOTRA by himself and his friends and aquitances.

Any way these Verses from Atharva Veda making rounds on social media.

With all humiliation and humbleness, I wish to state that the universe itslef was created by the sound and after millions of years AGNI has come into use by the human. It is my very strong belief and experience that SOUND WAVES does miracles.

Knowing all these intricacies in Veda Mantras and learned Vedic Scholars, I preferred Puranokta slokas from Sri Devi Saptashati, part of Sri Markanedya Purana.

There is one more Verse from Sri Durga Saptashati

ಉಪಸರ್ಗಾನಶೇಷಾಂಸ್ತು ಮಹಾಮಾರೀಸಮುದ್ಭವಾನ್ ।
ತಥಾ ತ್ರಿವಿಧಮುತ್ಪಾತಂ ಮಾಹಾತ್ಮ್ಯಂ ಶಮಯೇನ್ಮಮ ॥ 8॥

उपसर्गानशेषांस्तु महामारीसमुद्भवान् ।
तथा त्रिविधमुत्पातं माहात्म्यं शमयेन्मम ॥ ८॥

upasargānaśeṣāṃstu mahāmārīsamudbhavān ।
tathā trividhamutpātaṃ māhātmyaṃ śamayenmama ॥ 8॥

This is 8th Verse in twelfth chapter.

Our learned ancestors have called all such calamities, pandemics as MAHAMARI.
As I know, the word MAHAMARI comes three times in Durga Saptashati that too in 12 th Chapter.
Among them 8 th Sloka will ward off this MAHMARI is my strong belief and opinion which I am sharing.

The verse begins with UPASARGA, which means trouble, misfortune, indication of death, change due to disease, among other many meanings.

In this verse DEVI, the Parashakti tells that all  the difficulties, troubles caused by MAHAMARI and as well from three different causes will be destroyed by chanting her glory.
Three different cause mentioned here refers to Adhi Bhoutika, Adi Daivika and Adhyatmika TAAPAAS, sorrows, sufferings.

Adhi Bhoutika means pertaining to the living beings.
Adhi daivika means pertaining to the daiva or fate, unseen forces and gods.
Ādhyātmika means pertaining to the ātma or the body and the mind.

Devi having said that, it need not be literally construed that all such  MAHAMARI will be destroyed only from reciting Sri Durga Saptashati though saptashati is no doubt Kamadhenu and Kalpavriuksha but one can meditate on HER glory and chant this verse to destroy MAHAMARI.

This verse beginning as UPASARGANA is chanted and youtube video link is provided. The same Verse is chanted with the back ground sound of Conch & Gong.

I prostate before GURUMANDALA and GURUMANDALA ROOPINI Sri Lalita Mahatripurasudari praying her that the verse chanted becomes useful to all those listen to destroy the MAMAMARI.
